My Story

Welcome to all my lives now...Chchchchanges!  My name is Barbara.  I am the mother of two successful adult men and one grandson. I am in a loving and caring relationship with a man, I call my Love, who makes me laugh even in the most difficult times.

I became a mother, wife and a widow all before my 16th birthday.  Seven years later a second relationship and a second child, followed by a breakup after 11 years.  A third relationship began a year later and dissolved after 7 years.  I re-met my Love at, of all places, a bar.  We had met each other as client (him) and branch manager (me) 5 years prior.  Being ten years my junior I was hesitant to take a chance on yet another relationship.  My Love would have none of that and wooed me and swept me off my feet.  We just celebrated our 7 year anniversary.

I have been a Branch Manager for a top five ranked commercial bank, owned my own business as a licensed massage therapist, managed a day spa and currently I am a certified pharmacy technician working in a retail pharmacy.

I began this blog as a way to express my ever-changing world and how it affects my life.

Like my life my blog has evolved to include much more than I initially thought it would be.  I am conscientiously exploring the web and all that it has to offer.  I am discovering an ability to expand my horizons and I learn something new each day.

How many lives have you lived?  I feel like I have lived many.  Different branches reach out to touch each other yet never meet.  I am still me always evolving and growing.  This is my life now.  A peri-menopausal woman looking to share the ups and downs of ageing gracefully.

  3. Never stop evolving and growing! That's my motto! I'm on my second marriage and like you my husband is almost ten years my junior. I took a chance, too, and I haven't regretted it!

    1. I whole heartedly agree with you Stacey. I've come to realize the 10 year age difference only matters to me. My Love doesn't seem to notice. Thanks for visiting.

  6. You're so beautiful! I think you are brave. It's an amazing thing this blogging is...helps bring people together and gain insight or perspective. I always like learning about others and if/when they share their struggles (and joys) because it's relatable to a degree but also inspiring! :)
