Once you C-it, you'll believe it. Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Vitamin C can help with the following skin conditions.
  • Hyper-pigmentation
  • Acne Scarring
  • Sun/Environmental Damage
  • Fine lines/wrinkles
Wellness effects of continued use of Vitamin C.
  • Evens and brightens skin tone
  • Fights free radical damage with powerful antioxidants
  • Increases cell turnover
  • Lightens scarring/hyper-pigmentation areas
  • Stimulates collagen synthesis for firmer, plumper, healthier skin

I have used Vitamin C topically on my face off and on over the years to help treat facial skin discolorations due to excessive sun bathing in my youth.  Until recently I hadn't thought much about resuming the use of Vitamin C for my face.  I was invited to sample a new Vitamin C serum from Mystelic Beauty and readily accepted.

The first thing I noticed after receiving this potent bottle of Vitamin C is that the dropper was not in the bottle.  The dark amber bottle was sealed to preserve the potency of the serum.  I knew that the effectiveness of this serum would not be diminished because it was sealed properly.

I applied a half dropper-ful of the serum to my fingertips.  The consistency is perfect and not watery, drippy or runny.  I was able to apply the entire amount from my fingertips without losing any product.  I felt a slight tingling, which is completely natural when applying Vitamin C.  This serum was absorbed by my skin in an instant.  Within a minute it was completely dry and I was able to continue my other skin product application.

After using this serum for 2 weeks there is a dramatic increase in my skin brightness and clarity. The hyper-pigmentation is still present, but I know that Vitamin C serum alone cannot erase the years long damage of excessive sun exposure.  I will continue to use this serum daily to promote cell turnover to help diminish the discoloration I am trying to banish.

Have you tried a Vitamin C serum?  What are you using to hold back the hands of time?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I have been using this same Vitamin C serum for a little over a month, and my skin looks great. It has diminished the fine lines around my eyes and seems to have alleviated a little bit of crepey-ness (not sure that is a word, but I think you get what I mean) on my neck. I love it, and I am ordering more. Now, do you know of anything that really works for dark undereye circles? (I don't do makeup much at all.)

    1. Denise, like you I have dark under-eye circles too. I have tried numerous products, but I have yet to find something that truly works. I do wear makeup so that definitely helps. Although you may not wear makeup I hope you wear sunscreen. If so, I have found an amazing product that contains sunscreen and helps to camouflage my dark circles. It's called Supergoop C C cream. It does a fantastic job of concealing my skin imperfections. You may want to give it a try.

  3. I have used Philosophy's vitamin C serum, but I'm going to check this one out on your recommendation. Achieving that brightness that can fade with age really can make a difference!
