Monday's Motivation for a Healthy Lifestyle

I began the week with the intention to step up my healthy lifestyle.

I had researched the recipes and shopped for the ingredients for the week.

Committing to a 5 day workout week.

What happened?

Left:  What should have happened.

Right:  What did happen.

I blew it.  An extremely stressful work week and spiraling, roller coaster hormones struck and I, 100% fell off the wagon!

That's all I'm saying about this.

Motivation for the coming week:

Clean Eating

Period...Enough said!!!

Workouts

5 days, no excuses.

My Mantra for the week

Total weight lost ~ 7 lbs  up from last week by 4lbs

Knowing a lot of this is water weight keeps me encouraged that with clean eating and 5 workouts it'll be okay

How did you do this week on your healthy lifestyle journey?

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a new follower on blog lovin and pinterest as well! It's okay to have a rough week now and then. Just keep at it... you're doing great! I find that meeting a friend at the gym keeps me accountable for my workouts and my hubby and I talk about what we ate that day to help keep us encouraged on eating healthy. Good luck!! :)

  2. I do the same thing! I joined a gym and was going five days a week--even lost 14 pounds. I still love it there but I never have enough time in the day--my writing takes up a lot of it plus an in-home job, kids, etc. I only get there 3-4 times a week but I noticed I am eating more and have gained 4 pounds back! I really need to get back to eating better--clean eating. We need to motivate each other, perhaps!

    1. The weight does creep on so easily doesn't it. Once I reached 40 and now 48 it seems an impossible dream. I amy go on a lettuce leaf diet. ;)
You are right we should motivate each other...hmmm....

  3. I used to work out every other day. But am getting lazy nowadays, it it no more than 2-3 times a week. And I let myself to eat junk food a couple of times a week too. Can't eat that much vegs and fruits as they say one must because honestly, it makes me bloating...So, I think I am somewhere in the middle between unhealthy and healthy way of life :)

    1. It is sometimes difficult to make the right choices. It has to become an every day commitment. I have to stay focused on the long term goal. You look great, apparently whatever you are doing is working out for you.

    1. One of my biggest problems is portion control. I am always to hungry, or at least I think I am. So that is something I have to work on. I know I'll do better this week too. Since I had the crazy nuts week, I now how I have to handle it now. Thanks for the vote of confidence Dana.
