Welcome to Week 8 on my journey to a Healthy Lifestyle.
I have continued making clean healthy choices in my meals. As I shared in last weeks post I am continuing to have a mid morning smoothie. Not only am I fueling my body with delicious veggies, fruits and protein that taste wonderful and fill me up. I am also combating my chronic constipation. Not a fun thing to talk about, but it's the truth and most women battle this at some point in their lives. The smoothie is making my bowels very happy.
One of the meals we shared this week is
Chicken, Tomato & Green Bean Curry
The ingredients are simple items you may already have in your home. This is a wholesome meal that comes together in less than 30 minutes, so you have no excuse not to cook tonight. The results are delicious and your waistline will love you for it.
My cheat meal this week was beef tacos with homemade pico de gallo and guacamole and margaritas.
Turns out my bum knee is not so bum after all. Dr. says I have a cyst and since it's not bothering me (no pain or swelling) I am to do nothing about it. Works for me. Since receiving this good news I have begun working out again in baby steps. I completed 2 upper and lower body strength/weight work outs along with a 30 minute outdoor hilly walk. My goal is 5 workouts each week.
