These are the words that will motivate me this week.
Taking the first step is sometimes the most difficult. Mondays are my opportunity to take another first step toward a healthier me!
This is Week 7 on my new lifestyle.
I am continuing on the clean eating plan and doing well. I've added smoothies as my mid-morning snack. They are yummy and packed with healthy ingredients. I use a handful of fresh spinach, 2 Tbsp of ground flax, 1 scoop Designer Whey protein powder, 1/2 - 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1/2 - 1 cup frozen fruit.
Initially I was having 2 cheat meals per week. Although I love this idea, it is too much for me. I am cutting back to 1 cheat meal per week. I think this will work better for me.
I haven't been exercising. I've used my bum knee as an excuse, but I could still be working on my upper body. So, I'm on it for the coming week. I have a Dr's appointment on Wednesday to get to the bottom of the knee situation.
