postcards from paradise ~ through magnolia eyes

    1. It's hard to believe it. As a northern transplant I fell in love with magnolia trees immediately upon arriving in the south.

    1. When the flowers are blooming I have them all over the house. It smells like what I think a plantation house smelled like ages ago.

  5. LOVE magnolias! I had one once but it died. I don't know why. I wanted to try again but they grow so slow I became impatient for shade. I am content now with Lakeview Jasmine trees. Your header is awesome. I want to go there and walk that path. I want to paint that scene. Is that a house at the end of the lane? I wanna live there! Thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. I love my header photo too. It seems to me to be the perfect place to settle in. My magnolia tree did take a while to get comfortable, but once it did it just took off, I think being near the septic tank helped a lot. ;)
