Part 2 A New Day...A New Lifestyle...A Smaller ME

-2.2 lbs
I thought this deserved top billing.

It has been 1 week on my New Lifestyle...A Smaller Me plan.

Truthfully, I haven't been able to stick to the Activity/Movement portion of my plan.  I did manage 1 strength training workout and 2, 30 minute bike rides at 6.5 miles each.  This week I commit to the 6 day workout week.

With the recipes from the 2 wonderful girlies from www.idontgotothegym.com I have managed to ace my eating plan.  All the recipes on their site include healthy, easy to find items.  With step-by-step directions and pictures to guide, you can't go wrong.  My love thought each of these recipes was tasty and didn't miss the extra calories.  The recipes I used are:

Grilled Chicken with Peach Ginger Chutney
Scallop Scampi
Baked Eggplant Parmesan

I've used my Verithin religiously 2 times a day as directed on the bottle.  As I mentioned the capsules have a refreshing berry smell.  I was a bit worried about the Green Coffee Bean Extract making me jittery, as I am caffeine sensitive.  I am delighted to tell you that I did NOT have any nervousness or sleep disturbances from any of the 100% natural ingredients.  In fact, I am sleeping better.
Although I am cutting calories and adding in additional activity/movement I feel energized throughout the day.

Overall, I am pleased with my results this week.  Looking forward to Week 2!

As with any weight loss/management product please consult with your physician to be sure you are able to take Verithin.  I have consulted with my physician and have been cleared to use Verithin as part of my healthy living program.

  1. Keep up the great work! You've conquered the harder of the 2 - eating a healthier lifestyle. I am the complete opposite, exercise ingrained in my body but eating healthy not so much. I guess it's all about having a balance lifestyle to make it work.

  2. Alice, isn't it interesting how we are hard wired. About 10 years ago I was like you an exercise maniac. Then I got off both exercise and healthy eating. My hormones are raging and I've entered peri-menopause. When I look in the mirror I see my Mom and it scares me. I hope to find a happy medium and finally be a success. I have ridden the roller coaster for too many years. I'll be stopping by your blog...right now. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. It's not easy to start a new lifestyle. Congratulations on your first week!

    1. Thank you very much for the words of encouragement. I appreciate it.

  4. Hi Barbara!! Congrats on the -2.2 pounds....this healthy lifestyle is such a commitment..... I agree though I have been on the roller coaster far too long. I'm improving with the working out and making baby steps with the eating(typing this as I'm cooking my healthy dinner...hahaha) Keep up the good work! I'm excited for you and hope I too can make a lifestyle change within myself all the way around. I'm considering getting an acai berry supplement and fat burner..have you heard anything about that??

    1. Hi Heather. It is difficult re-train the brain and body. For me it's the cravings. It's so difficult for me. I was working out every day for many years and then slowly I began to lose focus. I want to become motivated so that I can once again gain the healthy outlook I once had. I've always been a big eater, even with healthy foods. So the exercise helped me continue to eat my larger portions. It's all about moderation in everything and that is my goal. As I approach my 50's I'll need to cut back on my calories to avoid further weight gain. I know someone who used the acai berry supplement with great success, I tried it and really didn't notice a difference. I've also tried many fat burners and while I was exercising regularly they did help me. Right now I'm using only the Veritin product and it really seems to help me without all the jitters associated with some weight loss/management products. By the way I'm not being compensated in any way by Verithin, so what I say is the truth not just a ploy to sell their product. No matter what products we use, most of it is in our heads...motivation and dedication. I'm working on a new post today. I should have it up in the next few days.

Recognition is the greatest motivator.
