June Cara Box Reveal

This is the first month that I have participated in the Cara Box exchange.  I can't begin to tell you  how much fun I had.

Creating a Cara Box for Jen @ lifewithasideoflove.blogspot.com , pop over to her blog to take a peek at the treats I sent her.

And receiving a Cara Box from Heather @ heelzstayhigh.com.  Heather and I both live in Florida, actually quite near each other.  A nice surprise.  We both love our dogs and our shoes.

June's theme was "Take Me to the Fair".  We had the challenge to create a box filled with goodies you might find at a fair or carnival.

Heather sent me an email with a bunch of questions, which I had fun answering.  Thinking about Fairs and Carnivals is fun and it brought forth some long forgotten memories.

This is how my box looked when I opened it.  I cannot tell you how delighted I was to see all the carefully wrapped gifts.

Heather sent a handmade coin purse, made by her, to keep my coins in for games at the fair.  She even included a quarter for my first game.  The cute do da with the butterfly is to remind me of the elaborate costumes they wear at Carnivale in the islands, which was a wonderful memory for me.  A precious wine glass with words of encouragement to celebrate being a woman, the colors of the empowering words suggest all the lights you see at a fair.  Next, a puzzle of a boardwalk, I wonder how she knew I loved puzzles as a kid.  A "Baked Goods" candle with an edible fragrance along with three recipes for fair foods.  Candy apples, corn dogs and funnel cakes.  Yummy!!!  A bucket of cotton candy, as you can see is empty, I couldn't resist.

Last was a bottle of ESSIE nail polish called, Fair Game.  I had a pedicure this morning and decided to try it out.  What do you think?  I love it, the color looks great with these fancy flip flops.

Heather spoiled me with her thoughtful hand-picked gifts and with her wonderful prose.  I feel special and have enjoyed my gifts tremendously.  My butterfly do da is flying around me while I type this.

Thank you Heather!!!  Much love to you!!!

CARA BOX

cara (car-rah) noun   :   beloved friend
Awesome things in the mail + Meeting new women + Encouragement = Cara Box

Each month there will be a different theme. Anything from a season, to a color, to a topic (like fashion or childhood).

You will get paired up two other bloggers, email back and forth to get to know each other, and will crazily stalk their blog...in the most non-creepy way.

Towards the middle of the month you will create a box or package, specifically for the woman you were paired to send to, and ship it off to her. Your other partner will do the same for you.

It's like having a birthday 12 months of the year!

You can participate as much or as little as you choose. Need a pick me up this month? Come and join in! Don't have an extra dollar to spare right now? Come back whenever you want!

Since you are re-paired each month, you can come and go as you please (:
