Blades and Five Sentence Fiction

The noises of the forest envelop me like a shroud; Musical chimes, melodious harps, glassine crinkling.

It seems no matter how I try, I cannot run away from it all.

Broken dreams and promises, shattered illusions haunt me as I feel a web of dust slowly fall over my being.

Yet, a serene calm wraps it's arms around me, leading and pulling me toward the unknown.

The faeries are working their magic amongst my inner demons as the grasses sway in the new breeze.

Lillie McFerrin Writes has posted a new item, 'Five Sentence Fiction - Blades'

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch
in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone
wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt
word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it [...]

  3. Love the feel of this. I can just see her walking into the forest and the faeries flying behind, ready to flit when she tries to see them. Very evocative.
