Before I lose my nerve,
fingers crossed,
I smile shyly,
"Honey, let's climb underneath the old wood bridge,
strip off our clothes,
jump in the river and
frolic and play like otters do.
Wow... nothing's better than that. Love the frolic like otters. Otters are fun, I have read somewhere that they are one of the few animals that seems to do things just because it's fun.
ReplyDeleteIf only...
DeleteWow ... that would be exciting :D
ReplyDeleteAgreed! ;)
DeleteLike otters?Interesting-they definitely are playful and naughty:-)
ReplyDeleteI thought otters were the perfect example of delight and playfulness!
DeleteA really lovely parallel you've drawn in this piece. I'm reminded of the image of the otters swimming in the water, holding hands/paws. :))
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly.
DeleteWell written and a great summation of what's really important in long-term relationships!
ReplyDeleteSpashionista (Alicia)
Exactly, innocent new experiences.
DeleteFrolic and play like otters do! I love that! It's the most fun response I've read!

ReplyDeleteI know it, I wish I had the courage...
Deletefrolic like the otters . . . terrific. I love to see the otters up here :)
ReplyDeleteYay, I love otters. I have fond memories of them from the local zoo where I grew up. They had a large wonderful play area. I remember them sliding down the water slide...so much fun and so many smiles.
DeleteI did that one night in high school...love the thought...like the otters!
ReplyDeleteLucky you!
DeleteI love that last line about playing like the otters do. Sounds fun (and risky, if they get caught :))
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my thoughts, the risk of it...
DeleteI think the older you get, it sounds like more fun because it is less likely to happen.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's exactly how I feel. I've always been very modest. I wish that I had the nerve to swim like the otters!
DeleteHa! Only if I had the otters' fur!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the frolicking otters, though.
They are awesome creatures aren't they...
DeleteThis is delightful :) . . . And otters were definitely the perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Congratulations on your win.
