My Favorite Accessory, OTAZU

This unique bracelet has a hiding place in bright pink bag.  It sits on my dresser beckoning me every day.  It is very dear to my heart and that is why I don't wear it every day.  It is much to precious and delicate for that.  Made by hand this bracelet comes with directions.  "Please treat me with respect.  I am like a new born baby who needs love and care.  Remember what Aretha Franklin used to sing R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Find out what it means to me!"

The bracelet also tells you  "I HOPE U HAVE AS MUCH FUN WEARING IT AS I HAD MAKING IT"  How's that to make you really want to take care of this work of art?  www.rodrigootazu.com

It's called the "All Saints Bracelet" by OTAZU.  I fell in love with it when I saw it at a lovely little downtown Ocala boutique.  I didn't buy it that day.  When I went back to make my purchase...it was gone.  Over the next few months I finally tracked one down, they are all similar in that they have the saints as the focal point.  I am very thankfully the owner of this beautiful one-of-a-kind bracelet.  You probably cannot tell from the pictures but all of the crystals and hanging touches are hand-tied with blue string.

Thank you Visible Monday #95 and Patti at notdeadyetstyle.blogspot.com

  4. That's lovely! Isn't it wonderful to own one-of-a-kind jewelry? I have one that's similar in style but features Alphonse Mucha's works instead of saints' images. Mine is too long so I'm terrified I'll break it if I wear it.

    1. Thanks Wendy, unfortunately a crystal already came untied the first time I wore it and so I swore I would only wear it for certain special occasions. Thankfully I found the crystal and with much care I was able to re-tie it back on. And you're very welcome.

  12. This bracelet is gorgeous!! I'm drawn to religious images from many traditions. I have a large Madonna who looks as though she once graced a niche in a church, maybe a home. I would love to have a bracelet like this.

  14. Barbara, this bracelet alone is so precious but with the message it brings with it makes it priceless. I can see why you choose not to wear it too often. Although I would be tempted to wear it daily just for thedaily inspiration. I wear a ring on my pinkie that has CTR engraved in it. It stands for Choose The Right. I just love to look down and have this simple reminder, it's helped me learn patience, tolerance and love. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece with us.

    1. The message is in my heart. Sometimes I have to take it out of it's sleeper bag just to hold it and look at it. I would love to see a picture of your pinkie ring. It sounds exactly like something I would wear daily. What a spiritual token to see every day. Thank you for sharing with me.

  16. This is a treasure! I really love bracelets, and wear them all the time. This one is delicate, but still fun and flirty. And then, of course, the saints. Very, very unique. I love this.
